Clare Bryant is University Lecturer in Clinical Pharmacology at the Department of Clinical Veterinary Medicine and Fellow in Pharmacology at Queens' College Cambridge

My clincial interests include the pharmacology of equine sepsis and endotoxaemia. I am also interested in anaesthesia of these critical care patients. My research group focusses on the molecular mechanisms that cause sepsis and endotoxaemia in man and animals, particularly Toll-like receptor function in different mammalian species. Our research is particularly focussed on how steroids and steroid-inducible proteins such as annexin 1 modify Toll-like receptor activation particularly with respect to novel therapeutic approaches to sepsis
