What excites me about my subject:Maths is the language of nature, and so many of the areas I’ve covered so far have a real underlying beauty (at least to a mathematician!). The Tripos (Cambridge degree course) initially covers a broad range of topics, and from this wide and strong foundation there are opportunities in the second and third years to focus on those areas of maths that you find most interesting. Cambridge has arguably the best undergraduate Maths course in the world and Queens’ itself has a well-deserved strong reputation for its teaching of Maths.
What else I get up to in Cambridge:Relaxing with friends, Rowing, Hockey, Rugby, Eating, Church, Sleeping
What I think about Queens':Queens’ is a really open college, and it’s completely unpretentious. No-one knows or cares what school you went to, or whether you have 3 or 13 A-levels! Being a larger college with a diverse student body there’s always someone who you’ll get along with.  Undergraduates live on the main college site for all 3 years and this only adds to the community spirit at Queens’. Everyone is always biased towards their own college, so what is perhaps more telling is that when asking friends from other colleges which college they’d want to be at if they weren’t at their own college they often answer Queens’.
