The object of the Queens’ Open Days is to enable those who are likely to be serious candidates for admission to the University to learn more about the structure of the University, and of the Colleges, methods of entry, the kind of courses available and general matters relating to undergraduate life.

Each open day covers all subjects and each Tripos is represented by someone who teaches, or has knowledge of, the subject - usually the Director of Studies. The day is planned around a mixture of 'sessions' in which visitors have the opportunity to go along to hear a Director of Studies talk about the structure of the course, the type of work involved and what the Director of Studies is looking for in a prospective student, and our Subject Fair in which you can approach any Director of Studies or students to compare subjects and get the chance to ask all those questions that no-one else seems able to answer.

Old Hall Parents

The Senior Tutor, Admissions Tutor, Schools Liasion Officer and Admissions Co-ordinator are all on hand to answer any questions about procedures, policy, or just general questions about Cambridge. It's very informal and an excellent chance to see how the College operates, meet the people who run it and live in it and that includes the all important undergraduates. There will be ample opportunity to speak to the Admissions Tutor. Current Queens' undergraduates will be available for visitors to talk to and will take visitors on guided tours  to see some student accommodation, as well the Library, Chapel, Old Hall, theatre and other parts of the College.
