Online resources

University of Cambridge Electronic Resources

The University of Cambridge subscribes to a vast range of electronic resources (ebooks, ejournals, databases, electronic search tools, etc). The Cambridge LibGuides provide a good way of finding out about what is available and relevant to your subject.  Many Departmental and Faculty library websites also provide useful lists of subject-specific sites.

Ebooks

Many of the books most heavily used by students are available in ebook format.  You can find ebooks:

If you're currently doing research or starting your dissertation, you may want to check out the Perlego ebook platform - if you find useful books there that aren't available via iDiscover, you can contact the ebooks team to ask for an account.

Ejournals

Search by title and by subject via the ejournals LibGuide.

Databases

Dictionaries, encyclopedias, indexes, etc. can be accessed via the A-Z Databases LibGuide.

Within the cam domain (i.e. when you're connected to Eduroam) there is no need for passwords to access e-resources. Off-site users will be prompted for their Raven password. To avoid this please install the Lean Library extension, which saves your Raven password to make accessing online resources seamless.

Don't forget that if you need help accessing eresources, Library staff are always happy to help on a one-to-one basis, or you could attend one of our research skills classes.
