Travel Grants

All Students

The College has a number of modest funds which are used to make small travel grants to members.

The Jubilee Fund is to support "any project or expedition involving initiative and industry which will assist the growth of a student's personality, maturity and understanding of the world".

The College Expedition Fund is to support "expeditions, the majority of whose members are members of the College, involving travel or study in remote parts of the world".  Grants from this fund are normally made during the Michaelmas Term only, in order to help in the early stages of expedition planning.

The Tutorial Assistance Fund has no specific terms attached to it.

Applications for grants (which should not specify to which fund the application is directed) should be made on the form downloadable below.

Applications may be received at any time (except that those applications which are appropriate to the College Expedition Fund should be submitted before the end of the sixth week of Michaelmas Full Term).

The application form should be accompanied by a short and concise description of the project or expedition (on one sheet of A4 paper) and a detailed budget, itemising expenditure and projected sources of income (on one sheet of A4 paper).  An expedition prospectus or brochure should be enclosed if appropriate.

The applications will be held on file until the next date for the release of funds. Funds are released four times a year: mid October, mid January, mid April and mid June. Funds are allocated to applicants at the discretion of the Senior Tutor. There is no guarantee that applications will be successful or that the entire amount applied for will be granted.
